Superior Institute is an experiential education program that specializes in summer, adventure expeditions for young adults aged 13-19. All of our summer programs utilize the National Parks and wilderness areas of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Ontario. Our program is dedicated to helping participants learn outdoors skills, develop self-confidence, experience a postive group dynamic, and discover a connection to the earth.

At Superior Institute, we believe that the lessons students learn from experiential education should not be limited to just the summer months. Therefore, we now offers Fall and Winter Programs, specifically geared towards public and private school groups. Choose from Team Building programs, Communication Skills seminars, Conflict Resolution Training, or Leadership Training. Experience a series of fun and safe challenges that are designed to increase efficiency, improve communication, and build trust among students.

Team Building and Group Initiative Day Programs - Our Team Building and Group Initiative programs help high school and middle school students develop leadership, communication, planning skills, and trust through problem solving activities that stress cooperation. From these programs, students gain empathy for one another while creating a strong sense of community with their peers.

Expedition-Based Programs - Our Expedition-based programs are an extension of our day programs. These programs run from 3 to 5 days and take place in a wilderness environment. Winter courses include dogsledding, cross-country skiiing, snow-shoeing, and winter ecology.

DIVERSITY. Our School Group Programs are highly participative and experiential, grounded in young adult and experiential education methodologies. Courses can be offered at various times of the year and can be custome designed to meet the needs of your group. Additionally, Superior Institute can accomodate any group size.

PROFESSIONALISM. Our staff and facilitators are expert, dynamic presenters who will engage participants in the learning and development process.
